Muskoka Attractions

Author: Rocky

While visiting Juni (our adopted raccoon, if you didn’t know already) at Muskoka Wildlife Centre, I saw a stand with some leaflets on, one of them was initially what I thought to be simply a flyer to let people know all the places they could visit while visiting the Muskoka area, but what it actually was – was a way to see more in Muskoka and save while doing it!

Muskoka Attractions

So here’s what it’s about:

Muskoka is a region in Ontario north of Lake Simcoe, so like many regions there’s always lots to do. The clever thing Muskoka region have done is team together their attractions to help customers experiance more in Muskoka, rather than simply seeing one of the attractions. I’m going to briefly mention the attractions in Muskoka which are participating in the scheme – I’ll have articles in the future about a number of them, so keep your eyes open for this, especially if you’re planning on a Muskoka road trip!

The way the scheme works, is you go to one of the attractions and get proof of purchase for your visit. You can then go to any of the listed participating attractions – provide them with this proof of purchase and you will get a discount or receive the offer they state on this flyer!

The participating places to visit in Muskoka are:

Santa’s Village
Lady Muskoka Cruises
Muskoka Wildlife Centre (Highly reccomended!)
Muskoka Heritage Place
Back Country Paintball
Muskoka Lake Museum
Rich Hill Candles / Gifts
Bala’s Museum
The Real Muskoka Experiance
Bethune Memorial House
Muskoka Rails Museum
Eaglecrest Aerial Park

To check out exactly what discounts or offers these great attractions are offering in this scheme take a look at Muskoka Attractions’ Website: http://www.muskokaattractions.com – this gives you a breakdown of each attraction and lets you know exactly what each attraction is offering. A couple of examples are:

Muskoka Heritage Place: [With proof of purchase from another 2009 participating attraction] Visit the Muskoka Museum at Muskoka Heritage Place free of charge.

The Real Muskoka Experiance: [With proof of purchase from another 2009 participating attraction] Recieve 50% off admission to the Muskoka Boat and Heritage Centre.

Black Country Paintball: [With proof of purchase from another 2009 participating attraction] Recieve free admission for up to 3 players including marker rental, hopper and goggles. (customers would purchase paintballs)

So, if you’re heading to the Muskoka area, get your proof of purchases and make the most of this great scheme!
