Thorold Township is a small city based in southern Ontario, priding it’s self on a patriotic community and industrial inovations. This rather large community is host to many unique places to eat, relax, explore and enjoy.

Eating in Thorold is not something to worry about, Front street is host to a handfull of small family run pubs and restraunts. As well as a family breakfast place called the “Early Bird” located just down the road from Front Street, offering the perfect breakfast selection.

If you are staying the night, there is no shortage of places to stay in Thorold, most are small bed and breakfast’s and a hotel called “The Inn at Lock 7″ along the canal’s Lock 7 overview, providing a stunning view of the canal. From this hotspot for places to stay, downtown Thorold is a short walking distance away offering a street of shops dating back to 1914, either it be clothes or musical instruments, Thorold has it there to offer.

Trail

Just off of the Lock 7 overview is the Canal trail, that goes along the entire length of the canal, surrounded by amazingly painted buildings, a never ending line of flowers, trees and small shops provide the ultimate experience for anyone wanting to explore the true wonders of the world’s most unique waterway.
